4 minutes walk from Furano Station
New Chitose Airport is Hokkaido’s main international gateway. There are three ways to reach Furano from the airport.
No transfers, comfortable seating, ideal for ski equipment. Advance booking required.
Scenic Hokkaido landscapes. Hokkaido Rail Pass recommended. Weather-reliable year-round.
Freedom to explore Biei and other ski resorts en route. On-site parking available. Winter: 4WD with studded snow tires required (Dec–Mar).
Already in Sapporo? Furano is about 2 hours away.
Seasonal direct trains may be available.
More direct than some train routes, generally economical.
Same winter driving precautions apply.
Once you arrive at Furano Station, your destination is just around the corner. Look for the distinctive lavender-purple building next to La Vista Hotel at 7-7 Asahimachi.
Peak seasons fill fast: skiing (Dec–Mar) and lavender (Jul–Aug). Reserve well in advance.
Verify seasonal bus and train timetables before your trip as services vary.
If renting a car Dec–Mar, ensure 4WD with studded snow tires. Allow extra time for weather delays.
